Long Time, No Post

As I predicted, my school has finally done the inivetable and denied me access to blogger, so I can no longer post from the school computers. As it is, I am babysitting now, but I put the little girl to bed and I am allowed to use their computer. It has fast internet (yay!).
So, even fewer people voted in my new post as my old one. That makes me sad. I for Suze Simon, by the way. She is way cool.
Anyway, some pretty exciting things have happened since I last posted. Edward and Bella have been casted for the twilight movie!! Kirsten Stewart (In the Land of Women, The Messengers) and Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire-- Cedric Diggory) will be playing our romantic heroes. I wasn't too happy about the choices at first, but I've decided that they are actually pretty good. I think they'll look cute together.
So, for anyone who likes the Great and Terrible Beauty books by Libba Bray, the newes one, The Sweet Far Thing, comes out on December 26 (what idiot came up with that, I wonder?). I am reserving my copy tomorrow. I am seriously excited.
Unfortunately, we have to wait until May for our next Stephenie Meyer novel. Her science fiction novel, The Host, is debuting on May 6.
And as for movies, I think that we are having an overload of good ones at the moment. I recently saw August Rush (which is AMAZING by the way). It made me laugh and cry.
I also saw The Golden Compass. For fans of the book, you may be disappointed with the ending, but the movie itself is one of the best book adaptations I have ever seen. And ignore all of those comments about how it is an athiest book trying to make people not believe in God. I am a Christian, and the books haven't affected my faith one bit. People just like to cause trouble.
As for ones that I haven't seen but really want to: I Am Legend (Will Smith, the last man on Earth, fighting vampires) is the one I am most anxious to see, and I may get to on Sunday. I was going to today, but I had to babysit... and consequently I am posting this. (Yay).
I am also much looking forward to seeing Enchanted. Some of my friends saw it and said that it was really good and cute.
P.S. I love you is definetely going to make me cry, but I'll still love it! I think that it looks like the best chick flick in a long time.
Then there's Johnny Depp's latest, Sweeny Todd. Is it just me, or can that man be absolutely any character he wants, from a constantly drunk pirate to a demon barber, and still be totally gorgeous? No, it's not just me. It's a fact of life. I even know guys who will admit that he is amazing!
As for me, nothing too exciting is happening. I have gotten up to about 65 pages in the story I am writing (my goal is 150, which will be about 250 in a regularly sized book). I know that I haven't written much about it yet, but that's because I'm trying to keep in on the DL. I don't want my idea being stolen.
Anyway, that's about it. If I don't post anything for a while, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The Interesting Parts of This Post Start in The Middle... (You can ignore my rant about the essay contest!)

So, I should actually be in my PE class right now, but thanks to a bizare twist in my hectic month from hell, I just found out that I won a Veteren's Day essay contest that my school was holding, and I get dismissed from this period to reherse for reading it in front of a whole assembly. Wait-- A WHOLE ASSEMBLY?? AHHHHHHH!!!! Okay, so I am totally going to choke, but at least I get some time to work on my blog. And I get a gift certificate to the mall, so it's all good.
The thing is, though, I entered the contest for kicks and giggles. I actually thought that my essay sucked big time, but apparently I was wrong. Funny how those things work isn't it?
Considering the way I woke up this morning, totally freaking out about the three tests I had to take, the homework I had to make up from missing yesterday for an all day meeting, and trying to explain why I forgot to tell the leader my community service project why I was totally AWOL yesterday, I think that God definetley heard my prayer. Sorry, for those of you who don't believe in God, but after today, I am totally re-amped in my faith. He totally comforted me when I thought that my day was going to be the worst I have ever had the mispleasure to wake up to.
And now, I am going to stop talking about that, and talk a bit about my actual blog. Only ten people voted in my pole? And Edward won (surprise, surprise), taking it by storm with fifty percent of the vote. I think that Jacob came in second with thirty, and David came in third with twenty. And absolutely no one voted for poor Kartik? Come on, people! I love him!
Anyway, I am totally starved for good reading right now. I just can't find any good books to get in to. However, I have found the WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!! It is called Eyes of War by Janna Nickerson. Trust me, people, don't waste your valuable literature minds on this book. I hate talking bad about this book, because I have met the author and she is really nice and she lives only like twenty minutes away from me, but this book is seriously bad!! She wrote it for her senior project, and then was shocked when no real publishers would publish it, so she self-published it. She shouldn't even have been allowed to do that!!! Does anyone realize how many trees were killed to print that crappy book? No! She doesn't know how to write. I was writing on the same level that she is when I was in the seventh grade. Seriousl, I think that she robbed one of my journals and used my style of writing to write this nove. It is terrible!
Anyway, I am reading a sort-of-good book right now. It's called Hope Rising, and it is really sad, mostly because it is 100% true. I don't want to give away what it is about, but I recomend not reading it unless you are prepared to shed a lot of tears.
Anyway, I think that I am going to start a new poll, so tell your friends to vote!!!!

Extras, Extras!!

Okay, so, I'm a huge fan of the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. And until yesterday, I was all sure that it was going to be a trilogy. I mean, it says that Specials (the third book) was going to be the last in the trilogy, right? So, as you can imagine, I practically jumped out of my skin yesterday at the mall when I saw a display outside of Waldenbooks for EXTRAS the fourth in the series. Scott Westerfeld has a pretty sarcastic thing to say about that on the dedication page in his book. I have to say, it made me laugh. The only sad thing is that it is not going to be told from Tally's perspective like the previous ones. There is a new main character and it takes place a few years after Specials ends. I haven't started reading it just yet because I am currently busy reading George Orwell's 1984 (which is an amazing book. I definately recomend it.) But I am extremely excited to start reading it!
I guess it's been a while since I last posted anything.
About movies: Anyone who has not seen Resident Evil: Extinction, definately needs to see it! It is totally amazing. If you are under 17 (like me, being a sad 15) ask your parents to buy you tickets (it is rated 'R'). Trust me, this is a movie that you want to see on the big screen, and it is definately not the last one, either. The end of the movie makes it perfectly clear that there will be a fourth one.
In music news, I am happy to say that I have a new obsession. Dashboard Confessional. I bought two of their CDs yesterday, and I fell in love with them! Their newest album, The Shade of Poison Trees, is beautiful, and the cover song (In the Shade of Poison Trees) is amazing! I also got one of their older CDs called Dusk and Summer, which has this beautiful song on it called Stolen. And I am even giving one of their songs a very coveteted (well, I'd like to think so anyway) place on my Twilight Playlist. The song is called Clean Breaks. Do I need to explain anymore why I chose that song?
So, I found some cool new pictures, and I am going to try and load them onto my sidebar to change it up a bit, but it may take me a while, so I don't know if I'll do it tonight. I have school tomorrow and I have to do this fake trial thing. Ugh.
TTYL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BELLA!!!!!!!

K, so for anyone who hasn't noticed or seen the date right above this post, or the title of the post for that matter, today is September 13th, Bella's birthday, and pretty much internationally known as "Twilight Day". In Forks, Washington, they officially had a Stephenie Meyer day. I so wish that I could have gone! Those people must feel like super stars. I mean, these books are almost as big as Harry Potter. I'll bet that their tourist population has gone WAY up. But all of them are probably looking for the cliff, or the Cullen mansion, or Bella's house or something. There's a way Twilight-zone (NO PUN INTENDED!!(well, maybe a little)) picture on Stephenie's site. While she was in La Push, she saw a sign that said 'Black's Fireworks'. That is pretty much AMAZING! I would stop dead in my tracks and laugh my head off if I had seen that. But now, come to think of it, it was probably named that for the series... huh. I wonder why I didn't think of that before.
Whatever. So, where are all of you? I miss all of my readers!! I need you or I will fall into a deep dark hole of depression and self hate! SAVE ME FROM BECOMING EMO!!!
Haha. Just kidding. But I really do miss all of you! Not being able to post anything all summer totally bit the big one.
Now, if you will join me in singing happy birthday:
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Don't cut your finger
Happy birthday to you!

SEE YA!!

Hairspray and Sixties Day-- Summer Stuff Part 2

Ok, so, I have to say that one of the best movies that I saw this summer was Hairspray. Any of you who haven't seen it yet should totally check it out. It is hilarious. WAY better than any other musical I have ever seen, and I love musicals.
Yeah. Nothing much more exciting happened this summer. I've been driving a lot (behold the powers of a learning permit) and I got totally hooked on the TV show Greek. Have any of you watched that? The season finale was last night. I am going to miss it, but thankfully, it will be back soon (hopefully).
OMG! Now for BAD news. Has anyone heard what is going to happen to the Max Ride movie? Yeah, well, let's just say that Jason Dolley will not be playing Iggy, except maybe for his voice. Yeah, that's right, Max is going to be ANIMATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe the injustice of it all? I spent hours clicking away on that website just to see these amazing books made into cartoon movies? To say that I am extremely peeved is the understatement of the century. And to make things worse, the original plan, when the movie was going to be live action, was that it would be released sometime next year. Now it's looking like it won't come out until 2010 at the best. That's the year I graduate and leave for college!!! Do you think that I'll be able to afford trivial things like going to movies while I am a poor college student scraping money out of seat coushins just to survive? I don't think so! And will I even want to go to an (hem hem) animated movie when I am eighteen. Doubt it!
Ok. I need to take some deep breaths.
On some happier news, this week is school spirit week at my school. Each day of the week is a different dress up day. At the big pep assembly on Friday there are awards for the best guy, girl, and teacher/staff outfits for each day. I think that I am pretty much a lock to win tomorrow's theme. It is decades day. Sophomores get to dress up as the sixties and let me tell you , my hippie ensamble ROCKS! It is a vintage chic that I think Alice would have even been proud of had the events in Twilight taken place in the sixties hippie era. (even though my outfit is (hem hem) off the rack *GASP*) Lol. I knew I would fit that in somewhere. I loved the way she sounded so disgusted when she talked about the horrors of getting a wedding dress off the rack! It made me seriously reconsider my future wedding plans (yeah, remember that drive up chapel that Edward mentioned? My plans consisted of something close to that, though, maybe not that extreme).
So, I am going to try to get on to a school computer tomorrow to check all of your wonderful blogs that I have not been able to see all summer and remind you that I am not dead and that I miss you!
TTYL!!

HELLO AGAIN!!!!! Summer Stuff Part One

Haha!!! Did you miss me? Well, I am officially back!! And right now I am actually posting from home. I might have to get used to doing this the slow way, and don't be surprised if I don't update my pictures as often as I did last year. The school got new computers this year and they're totally high tech and small, so there's no way I can sit in the library and hide from the librarian what I'm really doing. And I also don't have that computer class this year (I am a sophomore now!!! Only THREE MORE YEARS!!!!) and I'm not sure if I am going to be able to be on the yearbook staff. I am going to have a lote more homework this year because I am taking an honors English class.
Anyway, has anyone read ECLIPSE yet? I hope so!!! Because I am going to start talking about it now. If you haven't read it yet, then I suggest you don't read any more of this until you see where I say it is safe.
OMG!! I CRIED FOR HOURS AFTER I FINISHED THIS BOOK!!!!!!! I mean, I love Edward, and I totally wanted Bella to pick him, but I loved Jacob too!!! Stephenie Meyer did a really good job at making sure that we all totally loved both of them, so it would be heartbreaking no matter which way it went. There is a quote, well, really a passage, um, actually a short part of a conversation from the book that I totally can't get out of my head, even a month later! I will put it at the bottom of this post. I think that it is the quote of the book.
Was anyone else sorta disappointed at how the fight with Victoria went? They totally build up to this showdown in both of the previous books and it is like, supposed to be this huge thing and it is over in like, four pages. I think that Victoria got less booktime than James did, and he was only in the first book!
I sort of freaked out when Bella adked Jacob to kiss her in the end. That was one serious makeout scene! I think that the kiss between those two took up more pages than all of the ones with Edward put together from the first two. But it was cool. Romantic. Even though it was with the wrong guy.
I'd have to say that my favorite part of the book was the scene in the tent when Jacob is snuggled up with Bella in the sleeping bag. I found that rather awkwardly amusing it its own way. You could totally tell how much Jacob was enjoying totally pissing Edward off. It was great.
I did get pretty mad at one of my friends when she read it. She said that she thought Edward was being a controlling prick and that he needed to die to clear the way for Jacob. I did get a little annoyed with Edward at one point, but I promise that I never wanted him to die.
Have you noticed how unbelievably corny these books can be at times? But how it totally WORKS? I think that Stephenie Meyer is the only author on the planed who could write books so cheesy and melodramatic and have the characters say the corny things that they do and actually pull it off. Sort of how like Ashley Tisdale is the only person in the world who could pull off wearing those gold pants that she has to wear in the beginning of High School Musical 2 (which SUCKED if you haven't seen it yet. Don't. It is a waste of time.)
IT IS OK TO READ AGAIN!!!!
So, I read a lot of other books besides Eclipse this summer. The best ones, the ones that I HIGHLY recommend to fans of love stories, are the Mediator series by Meg Cabot. If you go to the library and you can't find them, check under the name Jenny Carrol, because that is the name that she wrote them under. There are six books in the series. Don't make the same mistake I did and read Haunted first because it is the only one there under Meg Cabot and you see the other five and they are by Jenny Carrol and you think that it is totally just a coincidence and they are two different things. THEY ARE NOT!!!! Haunted is the FIFTH book! The first one is Shadowland, the second is Ninth Key, the third is Reunion, the fourth is Darkest Hour, the fifth (as I just said) is Haunted, and the sixth is Twilight (ha! see! Now you know that they must be good!) Don't freak out about how there are so many books in the series. They are really quick books to read. And you may find yourself loving the guy, Jesse, almost as much as you love Edward!!
I am going to stop talking now, and finish my summer book and movie reviews in my next post. Here is the
ECLIPSE QUOTE OF THE BOOK AS PICKED BY DANA
If you want to find it in the book, it is at the end of page 599 and the beginning of 600.

"He's like a drug for you, Bella." His voice was still gentle, not at all critical. "I see that you can't live without him now. It's too late. But I would have been healthier for you. Not a drug; I would have been the air, the sun."
The corner of my mouth turned up in a wistful halfsmile. "I used to think of you that way, you know. Like the sun. My personal sun. You balanced out the clouds nicely for me."
He sighed. "The clouds I can handle. But I can't fight with an eclipse."

And there it is. I am getting all teary just typing it!!!

Last Post... Probably for Real This Time

Well, today is porbably the last day that we will be working on yearbook, which means that it will probably be the last time I post for a while. I am going to the library tomorrow, but I don't know if I'll have enough time to sign onto a computer and get onto here and get all of my books. My mom has this thing about going to libraries in the summer. She hates it usually.
As it is, I really need to go to the library. I am out of books to read at home and I don't want to start that summer assignment yet. I really want to read Pride and Prejudice (spelling?). I love that book! It's so romantic. By the way, that pirate book that I wrote aobut last time, it's got a good plot and all, but I can't stand the way the author writes. She is so overdone and cryptic. She really takes away from the quality of the book. Her style is a lot like how I used to write in sixth grade. If I had known that that was all it took, I would have gotten the book that I wrote then published in a heartbeat.
I really want to write something cool and important for my last post, but I don't have anything to write about. Has anyone seen what happened to the Max Ride site? It's pretty freaky!
I think that I might get to meet Stephenie Meyer this summer! She's going to be in Spokane right after that camp that I was talking about is over, so I might just get to stay in Washington and meet her at a signing! It would rock! If you want to know where she's going to be, go to her website, www.stepheniemeyer.com and then go to the news link and it should be the first or second thing there. I don't know if she's updated it since I last was there.
Ummmmmm... I really don't have anything more to say. Maybe the next time I post I'll be a little bit more interesting.
See ya!!!

LOOK OUT!!

I know that everyone who knows me is officially afraid to be on the road today... I get to start driving!!!!!! And I am scared out of my mind because of the crash tapes that we had to watch in driver's ed today. You know Bella's truck in Twilight? Well, let's hope that she doesn't ever get into a crash where someone hits her from the side. If Edward isn't there... the results would be VERY bad. And sad.
Speaking of books, I bought a really good one from Wal-Mart yesterday. It's called To Catch a Pirate by... Morgan Parks(?) I think. I'm not going to take the time to write what it's about because I'm supposed to be working on yearbook.
Most of the books on my summer reading list this year are classics and Shakespeare plays. (Has anyone seen the movie 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'? It's GREAT!) I want to be prepared for my English 10 honors class next year, so I better get going. And I have to read and do a paper on 'The Count of Monte Cristo' for that class. Once you reach High School, say goodbye to free summers, they are a thing of the past.
And I checked out another blog a few minutes ago. It's url is www.wedazzleyou.blogspot.com. it's pretty cool, and they have a lot of cool anime pictures posted.... If you haven't guessed it yet, I really like anime. Not as much as I like Twilight, but it's pretty close. (BTW: Did anyone watch Bleach on Saturday? It was awesome!)
Jeez, I am chomping at the bit for July to come around. That's when my youth group starts doing all of our cool summer stuff. Like the baseball game and Creation and the innertubing trip (it's long and you get sunburned, but the jokes and conversations that are had are totally worth it.)
Now I have to go! i have to go drive!

Guess What...

I forgot that I have to work on yearbook this summer... so you haven't gotten rid of me just yet. It's probably going to take me forever to write this post because I'm going to have to keep switching to the yearbook program to make it look like I'm working.
So, nothing really exciting has happened, no books or movies have come out. I did start driver's ed today, but that is too boring even for me to write about. We had to watch some super boring, corny, overly done videos and listen to the instructor talk about what we have to bring into the DMV when we get our licenses in DECEMBER FOR TWO HOURS!!
Oh yeah, I get a cell phone tomorrow!! Finally! I'm fifteen and I'm just now getting a cell phone! Iknow third graders at my school who already have theirs.
I really have to update the 'about me' thing on my sidebar. I'm not a measly freshmen anymore, but a sophomore! Not as powerful as a junior or senior yet, but at least I don't have to unload the band bus alone anymore! And I don't have to go through softball initiation again either!
Call me depraved, but I watched Friends for the first time in my life last night. It was so funny! I have to go out and buy every season on DVD now.
I have run out of things to say for now, but this won't be my last post. I'll probably write a couple more this week!
See ya l8er!

A Sad Goodbye-- for Now

Well, I'm sorry to say that today is my last day of school, so I won't be able to post anything for a while, remember, my computer sucks!!! I get to start driver's ed on Monday, and I get to go to Creation Fest this summer. It's gonna ROCK!!!! I'm also going to a really great Christian camp in Washington in August.
I posted a lot more in the past few weeks than I used to when I had my old blogs. I've gotten so addicted to it that I'm going to really miss writing on here. But I hope that you all will keep checking for when I do post something. I'm going to try to get to the city library as much as I can this summer to post, and then next year (my sophomore year!) I'll have a lot to write about!
Try to keep up with everything! Remember, Eclipse comes out on August 7th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SEE YA!!!

WHAT?!?!?!?!?

I just checked out my slideshow... the picture that I used for Nudge is gone!!! And I deleted it from my computer!!! Dang it! Stupid computers!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so random it doesn't get a title.

The clock is counting down... really, check out my countdown timer (to the right!!) and I may not be able to post much. I really wish that I could get broadband, but it's not available where I live. (Yes, that's the boonies in Montana for you). My parents have been calling Quest for months now trying to tell them that we want broadband or wireless or whatever, but they won't listen and they won't give us a reason for why we can't get it at my house. So... I'm stuck with slow as molasses AOL. It takes me forever just to get to my blog, let alone post anything.
And I just deleted every Max Ride, Twilight, and many other cool stuff pictures from my school H drive. I spent the entire year collecting these pictures, and they're all gone! Lucky for you, you can check out my Max Ride and Twilight pictures on my blog. To see the Max ones, look at the bottom of this blog, to see my other one, go to my Twilight fan blog, http://www.tuacantante.blogspot.com. There aren't many posts, and not many pictures, but I do have a cool Twilight slideshow that I created on RockYou (have I mentioned how much that website ROCKS?)
And anyone who wants to see a really cool blog should check out Fang's at www.maximumride.blogspot.com, but I'm sure that all of you have already seen it. I'm happy to say that I now have 3 readers! Thank you all!!!!! (I've seen all of your blogs... they're awesome!!!) Anyway, you should check it out if you haven't and see what they have to say. It's starting to sound like the blog in the book. I totally agree with what Fang and the gang are saying. Adults are polluting the earth and taking everything that they can and they only want to leave us with the leftovers. It totally sucks and we need to start doing something about it.
Anyway...
This summer is going to rock. I get to take drivers ed (that's definetely not the part that rocks, but if I want to get my license...) and I get to go to an awesome Christian camp in Washington and I get to go to Creation fest. And I might get to go to a really cool 10 day writer's class at the university.
I hope that I get to do it, but it's $175 and I''ll have to miss drivers ed for the days that the workshop is. Maybe if I give my parents the crocodile tears and puppy dog eyes, they'll let me.
Well, school gets out soon and I hav eto go.
SEE YA!!

P.S

Friday is my last day of school, so if I don't post anything for a long time it's because I couldnt' get to my blog on my slow computer! Hopefully I'll be able to get to the library and use the computers there.

RECALL!

I need to take something back that I said earlier! I didn't check all of my posts, and it turns out that I actually have 2 readers! Thanks, Courtney!

Save the Flock, Save the World

Ok, so now I'm really going to post something for today. (Spoiler alert! Do not read unless you have read MR3!!)
I finished MR3 last night! I was sooooooo sad when Ari died!! I always knew that he would be good in the end. But the part about Dr. Martinez being Max's mom kinda surprised me. But I figured that Jeb was her dad. Everything is saying that this is the last book, but it's not. Thanks to all of the clicks on the website (www.maximumride.com) there is going to be a fourth one. But it's probably not coming out until later next year.
In the meantime, I've come up with a summer reading list. Some of them are already out, some are coming out this summer:
An Abundance of Katherines (John Green)
City of Bones
The Truth About Forever (Sarah Dessen)
The Black Tattoo (Sam Enthoven)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (duh!!)
Eclipse (Stephenie Meyer)
Bass Ackwards And Belly Up
Pants on Fire (Meg Cabot)
The Dead of Night
A Killing Frost
Darkness Be My Friend (this one and the two above are the 2, 3, and 4th in a series and I can't rember the author's name)
Dracula (Bram Stroker)

And a bunch more, I'm sure. Plus, I have to work a lot on my story too. My dad got all sappy last night and asked me why I never let him read any of the things that I write. I just said that they weren't finished. (which is mostly true anyway) But really, how embarrassing would it be if my dad read how I was writing out the feelings of two characters in love? I guess that I should get over it because he's going to read it anyway if any of them ever get published, but still... I'd much rather wait until that happens. Then I can be bombarded with everyone reading it all at once. Until then, the only people who are allowed to read any of my stories are my two best friends, MM and SW. I hope that they actually start acting like friends and start posting on my blog, or at least start reading my blog!!

BTW: Any Max fans out there need to spread the word that the Max Ride blog has been nominated for the best blog of all time on blogger. We need to vote, people! We need to help the flock!! Oh, and you need to start clicking a massive amount on the max ride website. We're up to over 4 million clicks, but we still need 1 million more to get the message to hollywood that we want max and the gang to be made into movie characters!!!!! (My vote for Iggy is Jason Dolley. I'll try to get a picture of him posted soon!)

--D
PS. What do you think of my new format? I like this better than the pink stuff!

One Reader. I'm going to cry....

I just found out that there is only one person out there in the entire cyber world who is reading my blog. After I take all of that time to post, risking getting detention for posting in class, only one person reads it!
So, thank you, .::NudgeTwin::. (I hope that I got all of the dots right...) for reading this blog!
If anyone decides to read this, you should check out her blog too. It's pretty cool!!!

Pirates, Talking Dogs, and Flying Kids, oh my!!!!!

Ohyeah!! I am gonna have a lot to post about today!! (WARNING: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY SEEN PIRATES 3 OR READ MORE THAN HALF OF MAX RIDE 3!!!!!!!!!!!)
First off, I just saw Pirates 3 on Monday (memorial day). It rocked!!! I was really worried that it wouldn't be good because the second one sucked, but it was good!! It wasn't as good as the first one, but few sequels ever are, so I guess that compared to some other things, it was great!!! I was really sad about how Will and Elizabeth can only see each other every ten years though. Speaking of Will, did Orly Bloom not look absolutely GORGEOUS when he was suddenly the captain of the Flying Dutchman? With that pirate bandana and outfit? I thought that I was going to faint in the theatre. I kinda got comfused by the whole maelstrom (spelling?) thing though. How did the ships not sink? Oh well. That's just a technicality.
And, the best part, MR3 CAME OUT YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to a bookstore in town after school to get it!!! I am already half of the way through it. I so knew that Max and Fang would become a couple! It was totally inevitable!!! But I am really pissed that the flock split up. It's become sorta like the battle of the sexes (well, plus Ari on the girls' team). But I think that everything is going to be ok in the end. Fang will come and meet up with the rest of the flock. I hope. (Nah, I already read ahead. The tension is completely gone for me, but I can at least pretend to be excited!)
I g2g. People coming!

Amy Ain't So Bad

Have you seen the Max Ride commercial? I know that I said that I thought that Amy's auditions sucked, but she ROCKED in the commercial! I can't wait until it starts airing on TV. Anyone who hasn't seen it yet should check it out: www.maximumride.com, It should automatically take you to the clip.
Oh, yeah, and I started a new blog. I talked about Twilight so much on here that I decided to start a blog just for it. It's called La Tua Cantante. the URL is www.tuacantante.blogspot.com, I only have one post and no "extras" posted as of right now, but I'm getting there.
The weather is being so bipolar right now. This morning it was raining, then it was warm, then it was just raining again ten minutes ago, and now it's sunny again. Ah, the beauty of living in Montana. You always have to have a sweatshirt and a tank top with you because that's how often the weather changes. But I love it (i'm lying!!!)
I'm pretty bored. I'm at home (no, not at school!!!), posting to cyber people who for some wierd reason actually enjoy reading my blog, and I'm listening to 96.3 the Blaze and 98.7 Star fm back and forth. I really like 96.3 more because it plays nothing but rock. 98.7 plays some rock, but it also plays a lot of rap and I CAN'T STAND RAP!!! So, I switch back and forth.
Speaking of rock and rap, I've never heard a song by the band/ group Gym Class Heroes. Can anyone tell me if they are rap or rock before I go out and buy the CD? I DO NOT want to end up buying a rap CD and have to give it to my sister. Because then she'll listen to it! I'll have to put up with it!!! Yuck!!!
My parents let me skip the first two periods of the day today so that I could sleep in. And yet, I'm still exhausted. I must be getting sick. But I got to miss PE, so that's perfectly ok. And I get to miss it again on Friday because I'm leaving to go see my cousin pitch for her team in the state softball finals. I'm not going to see my school compete, but I'm going to go see my cousin's. My cousin is, like, a locally famous pitcher. She is soooo good. That's one of the reasons that I don't want to play. People will look at her wonderfulness and then at my mediocracy and wonder "where did she miss out in the gene pool?" I know that a girl at my school named K.N. did. I told her who my cousin was and she was shocked. She couldn't believe that I was related to M.H. It was pretty insulting.
Speaking of insulting, do you want to know what bugs me (if you don't, you can go away, because I'm going to say what it is anyway!)? I used to show people pictures of my older sister, right. She's actually my half sister. We have the same mom, but not the same dad. Anyway, I look like my grandma on my mom's side, but I have my dad's eyes and hair. My sister looks almost exactly like my mom. Anyway, I used to show people pictures of her and they would say "Oh, my gosh! Your sister is so pretty! You look NOTHING like her!" What is that supposed to mean? Needless to say, I stopped flaunting pictures of her. But my friends still said that when they met her this fall.
Anyway (man, I love that word!!) I've ranted long enough. I'll probably post again tomorrow on here and on my new blog during computer applications class while we're supposed to be on this stupid career website, so I'll be in touch!!

Acadamia Mania!

Yesterday at our school were the academic awards (sorry I didn't write about them yesterday!) What that basically means for us freshmen is maybe getting 2 awards (which I did for english and high honor roll) and sitting on hard, wooden bleachers for 75 minutes watching all of the seniors and juniors get recognised for their achievements. And remember how I am on the yearbook staff, well, I'm being excused from my computer class to work on the pages for the awards. I don't even have any pictures yet but I have to get the layout all ready and get the awards typed up. It's extremely fun having to write L.M., A.S., and B.P.'s names over and over again.
The only reason that I'm really doing this whole yearbook thing is because it looks good on a college application, and I need every drop of scholarship money I can get if I want to go to Bard. Even so, it's not worth it. This is my first and last year on the yearbook staff.
Anyway, I said that I won an english award, didn't I... yes, I did. I was so happy!! That was the only award that I really really wanted. I am a writer after all. I could have gotten the academic excellence award (the only one in the freshmen class who would have) but I got a B+ in business machines in the first quarter of the school year. I got an A for the semester, but they went by quarters. What jerks!!
I am so glad that it is Friday. I get to go shopping for summer clothes tomorrow! I'm supposed to come in and work on yearbook, but that blows the big one, so I'm skipping and getting some cute skirts instead.
But I'm also going to have to spend time on my slow as molasses computer this weekend too. I have to do research for this teraforming project that we are doing in Earth Science. We have to make a power point project and a report on how we would terraform another planet or moon in our solar system. My group is doing Saturn's satelite, Titan. You wouldn't believe how incredibly boring it is at the moment. But I think that it could be fun. We just have to give it a chance..... (note the sarcasm there, people)
I g2g. I'm going to get carpal tunnel if I keep typing in this every day!!

Guess what! Today I'm not posting in class! Well, I'm still at school, but it's afterwords and I'm technically supposed to be working on the yearbook... oh well. In the class that I usually post in, we went out for ice cream instead. We had to walk about an hour in 87 degree weather, but we got ice cream!! We were totally the Breakfast club while we were walking. There was our teacher, who is like the jock, a kid named P.L. (not giving out any of their names, sorry!), who is sort of a dork, a kid named N.W. who is sort of a rebel, a girl named O.C. who is definitely the pretty, popular girl, and then there was me, Dana, who was like the quiet, sort of freaky girl, but you guessed that already, didn't you.
I didn't post any new pictures today because I'm trying to figure out which ones I should take off first. My blog is starting to look a little bit cluttered. I've posted a few playlists off to the side for some of my favorite books. Some of the songs don't have anything to do with the plots or the people, but they remind me of them, so I put them there. For each song I wrote which character from the book's initial it is for next to it. One of the songs for New Moon is for Jacob, Bella, and Edward. I imagined them all singing it when I first heard it.
Remember that story that I said that I was writing? Well, I recently had a bit of writer's block with it, and I couldn't work on it for a while. Then, today in Algebra an idea came to me and I started writing like crazy. I really want to post a playlist for it on here, but i can't think of too many songs that really have anything to do with it. I'll try to think of at least a couple. and if anyone wants to help me out with the playlists for the other books, you can post them on the comments.
I've got to go. The slave driver for the yearbook staff is coming!!!

MR3, Twilight Movie, Eclipse Proms, and Fruits Basket

My first line of business is to inform anyone (if there is anyone) reading this that if you go onto James Patterson's website (you can get the link at the bottom of my blog) you can read the prologue as well as the first few chapters of MR3. It sounds pretty darn cool if I do say so myself, and I DONT!! Oh, yeah! And people better start clicking on the MR website! I REALLY want those books to be movies. We still need like 1.5 million clicks to make it to 5million.
Speaking of movies, apparently the final negotiations are under way for the TWILIGHT movie! I nearly screamed in class (yes, I am in class again) when I read that! I think that I will faint the first time that I see a coming attraction for it. But Stephenie thinks that Billy Black (Jacob's dad) might not make it into the movie! That would make me exremely sad! I love Billy, even if he is sort of a jerk. He has good intentions.
And did any FURUBA (fruits basket) fans check out the picture that I posted? I googled 'fruits basket' on images and that was one of the things that popped up! I thought it all out, and if there are six chapters in every book and three books come out each year, and the last chapter in the last book that came out was chapter 95, we only have to wait until next December to see that wonderful moment!!! But has anyone else noticed the shift in the series? It's like, Tohru is technically the main character, but she's hardly had much to say in the last few books. It's been all about Yuki and Kyo. I wonder if Natuski Takaya is just trying to drive us crazy by not having tohru confirm her feelings for Kyo. (Grrrrrrrrr!)
Is there anyone reading this who actually got to go to one of the REAL Eclipse proms and who took pictures? If you did, please send them to me. My e-mail is DramaQueenBaby15@aol.com I hope to get some cool pics to post, but if y ou don't want them posted, just say so and I won't post them!
I did get a picture from Stephenie's site of the guys that were there to represent Jacob and Edward. I have it posted on the top of the page. I agree with the Edward pick, but the Jacob guy just doesn't seem like Jacob.
See ya!!!
P.S. I came up with the title of this post after I was done writing all of this because I could not think of anything else to use!!

Read and Write

If you've read the 'about me' part of my blog, you know that I am a starving artist. (in the high school terms). Anyway, right now I am working on yet another of my incredible story ideas. I have gone through at least ten without finishing them since the sixth. The most recent one which I starte in November, I almost finished. It was 90 pages typed, single spaced, 12 font. It was about vampires. I really liked it and I hope that I can finish it someday. But I changed my mind abuot the way the plot would go when I got to where I was and I'm too lazy to try and fix it now.
anyway, my latest one is sort of like harry potter meets maximum ride meets twilight meets looking for alaska. And that's the only clue that I'm going to give right now. I'll post some more on it at later times.
And guess where I am right now. Yep, record keeping!!! And I have 25 minutes to do whatever I want. I should probably finish my Algebra1 homework so that I don't have to do it over the weekend, but I don't feel like it. I feel like being a computer nerd and finding new pictures for my blog.
Do you know what would suck? If my school blocks blogging sites. How will I ever post again? I'll be reduced to my slow as molasses computer at home or having to drive thirty miles into the city to go to the library!!!! And I wouldn't put it past them. I tried to go onto bored. com, today (a site that has always been open to us needy students) and it was suddenly blocked!! It was terrible! I couldn't send the computer prank call to my friends like I usually do!!! Luckily, Aeonity hasn't been blocked yet. And neither has Maximum Ride. But I can't get on facebook or myspace or anything like that. And apparently, next year the restrictions are only going to get worse. If you don't hear from me for a long time during the next school year, that's the reason.
Anyway, right now I am in full heartbreak recovery mode. I just found something out about the guy that I liked and a girl that I trusted enough to tell and how he reacted when he found out. It pretty much sucks.
See ya!

Skool Days

Turns out that posting from home is more trouble than it's worth. So, I'm back to posting from school. I'm in record keeping class right now.
Has anyone seen the audition tapes from the Maximum ride site? I didn't see Nicole's (it wasn't working) but I hope that it is better than Amy's. She SUCKED!!!!! I just watched it a few minutes ago and I nearly burst out laughing right here in class. She's way to preppy to ever play Max.
Oh, yeah. If any of you ever wonder why my text is so small, it's so that none of the kids in my class can read over my shoulder while I'm posting. And so that my teacher can't read it. I don't mind other cyber kids reading it, but kids at school would be just too embarrassing. See ya!!

Think Hard. Laugh Often. Love Always.

Guess what! I'm actually not posting from school for once. But I totally wish that I was. My internet is so slow!! It's taken me like a half hout just to get to where I can post a message.
I wish that I could post music on here. How cool would that be? You would all be rocking out to Breaking Benjaman's 'Breath' or My Chemical Romance's 'Famous Last Words'
Anyway, TGIF baby!! This week has SUCKED!!!!!!!!! But today was awesome. Today our school had this thing called Change of Pace. A whole bunch of people come in from a whole bunch of different careers and they give presentations and stuff. I took a class called African Dance. It was AMAZING!!! I had sooo much fun!!! It made me want to visit Africa.
I also took a self defense class. It was pretty fun. I learned some moves and now I can bring a full grown man to his knees. I also got a dogtag made for me. It says "Think Hard. Laugh Often. Love Always." That's pretty much my motto.
You know that you are in Montana when the weather changes like it did today. It was snowing, like December snowing, this morning. It was FREEZING! Now, it's sunny and a cool breeze is blowing. It kind of sucks though. I was supposed to have a softball game today, but when the snow turned into rain, the fields got too wet so the game was canceled.
Has anyone seen Spider Man 3 yet? It started today!! I have to wait until next week to see it though. This month is going to rock!!! I can't wait to get the special edition of New Moon. Then Pirates of the Caribbean 3 comes out on the 25 and Maximum Ride 3: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports comes out on the 29. I am so PUMPED!!!
For those of you into the Christian music scene, there is a FALLING UP concert here tonight. They're here with RunKidRun and Ever Stays Red. But my sister has a baseball game. I don't get to go. It stinks. Oh well, I guess that I'll just go to the next concert. The last one that I went to was awesome! It was Kutless, Stellar Kart, and Ever Stays Red. The mosh pit was insane and I was right in the middle of it. I fell down at one point and almost got trampled. But it was all worth it. I got to meet the bands afterwords. That means that my list of famous people that I have met has expanded.... it's still not very big, though. I think that I'll post a list of everyone that I've met to the right.
Wow, I talk too much. See ya!

Max+Fang=FAX

I'm sorta breaking all sorts of rules in my school. Every time I post, I'm at school because my internet is just too slow!!! Anyway, this time I'm in Business Machines. I'm going to die! I'm going to fail Earth Science!! I need to have my LATE homework with me, but I don't. I need to get them turned in so that I don't have to repeat the class next year. This sux!!
Anyway, I pretty much have a study hall right now until school lets out for the day. Then I have to stay after and work on the yearbook.

Hey, anyone reading this, if you are a Maximum Ride fan, you should totally check out the latest blog entry!! There is a totally awesome picture of Max and Fang kissing! I totally think that they would make a great couple. Ever since Max kissed him on the beach in the first book. And judging by the responses to the picture on their blog, many other people agree with me. I feel sorta sorry for Nudge right now, though. After posting that picture, she better fly for her life!! They're going to KILL HER!!!

I am totally impatient for the third MR book to come out. And for Eclipse to come out. And about that, I'm going to be at camp on the day that it comes out and my mom is going to get to read it before I do!!!! She refuses to send it to me! She says that postage would cost too much. As if the cost of postage is more important than Bella and Edward!!!!

I'm also excited for the movie Stardust to come into theatres. I saw the trailor for it when I went to see Disturbia (GREAT MOVIE!!!) and then I started reading the book. It is soooooo good!! And for those fellow Twilight fans out there, Henry Cavill (Stephenie Meyer's choice for Edward) will be in the movie. Sadly, it isn't coming out until August 10. and guess where I'll be: CAMP!!!! I never thought that I would miss so much going there. If it wasn't as awesome as it is, I wouldn't go this year!!!

Does anyone else follow the anime show on Adult Swim called Bleach? I think that it's awesome, but it's totally drawn out! I mean, when will Ichigo FINALLY rescue Rukia? I checked on Animenewsnetwork.com and it looks like he's not going to see her again until episode 41 which SHOULD air in the beginning of July. I really want to see that episode mostly because I think that it's obvious that Ichigo totally likes Rukia and I think that it will be a very romantic episode. It better not be on in the end of July because I will be at Creation!! (Tell me if you're going!!!)

Anyway, that's enough ranting for today!!

Computer Applications

I am in commputer class right now. Remember that post about dying of boredom? Well, I'm about to do just that right now. I'm supposed to be working on spreadsheets. Yeah right. Like I don't have better things to do. I"m sorry that I haven't posted in forever. I'm being harassed for being a Yankee fan right now. It's descrimination I tell you, DESCRIMINATION!!!
Is anyone else excited for some of the books and movied coming out this year? It's going to be a very good year!! Check out some of my lists to the left if you don't know all of what's coming out.

Dying of Boredom

Did you know that it is extrordinarily possible to die of boredom?
No, really! Actually, one of the biggest Biblical characters (besides Jesus) was actually the cause of a prime example! Look it up in Acts (I'm not sure of the exact chapter and verse). Peter (I'm pretty sure that it was Peter, anyway) was speaking to a big crowd of people and he talked for so long that a guy sitting on a window ledge fell asleep and fell out of the window and died! Peter brought him back, but still, he died!
I wonder if something like that could possibly happen in High School. (In my algebra class, sometimes I wouldn't be surprised).
Anyway, I hope that this blog doesn't do anything like that. I would honestly hate it if the police came looking for me because my blog caused someone to die of boredom. I have to be honest. This isn't going to be as interesting as the Maximum Ride blog (hey, I'm not exactly a kid with wings running from evil scientists) but I'm going to do my best. Don't make fun of me!
